That’s why Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a grassroots program of GTKYF Foundation Inc., is committed to providing rapid-response disaster rescue services and teams—especially in underserved rural and urban communities where help is often delayed. Our boots-on-the-ground approach ensures immediate action in the face of crisis, filling the gap.
Urban and Rural Search & Rescue (SAR)
We specialize in both urban search and rescue (USAR) and rural search and rescue (RSAR) missions. Whether responding to structural collapses, hurricanes, tornado aftermath, flash floods, missing persons, or wildfire evacuations, our trained volunteers and partners are equipped to act swiftly. We utilize community-based teams with local knowledge, ensuring faster navigation, faster access, and life-saving results.
Our disaster rescue response includes:
- Emergency extraction and evacuation
- Rapid search and rescue deployment
- Missing person tracking and location
- Crisis response coordination with local EMS
- Farm and livestock rescue operations
- Debris removal for safe access
- Welfare checks for the elderly and disabled
- Search dogs and drone surveillance (where available)
- Heavy Equipment deployment
Rural Disaster Rescue: A Forgotten Frontline
Many rural and agricultural communities are left waiting hours—or even days—for federal or state help to arrive. We believe that no community should be left behind.
